Looking for a way to beat loneliness and connect with your community? Look no further than the Friendly Bench in Vickersway Park!
On Friday 2nd June Members of Northwich Town Council officially declared The Friendly Bench Northwich open alongside Northwich Care Community, Northwich BID and fellow The Friendly Bench Network Members and The Friendly Bench Chester.
At the heart of the Friendly Bench’s ethos is the idea that everyone should have access to warm, inclusive social spaces that help build friendships and create a sense of belonging. And that’s exactly what you’ll find here!
But the Friendly Bench is more than just a social space. It’s also a connection point for people with limited mobility who may struggle to access community resources. By providing a comfortable and convenient place to rest, the bench encourages people to get out and about and participate in community life on their own terms.
Finally, the Friendly Bench is all about fostering a connection with nature. By making it easy for people to enjoy the great outdoors, the bench supports a healthier lifestyle and a stronger sense of well-being. Whether you’re chatting with a friend, taking in the scenery, or just enjoying the sunshine, the Friendly Bench is the perfect place to unwind and take a breather.
So why not pay a visit to the Friendly Bench in Vickersway Park? You’re bound to make new friends and forge new connections. And who knows – you might just find yourself feeling more connected to your community than ever before!
This bench has been partly funded by Northwich Town Council, Northwich Care Community and The Friendly Bench.
