At Northwich Town Council we hold a small grant meeting twice a year and organisations apply to us for a grant. The successful applicants are invited to our Council meeting to be presented with a cheque from the Mayor, Sam Naylor. All the organisations were really grateful to be offered the grants for various projects and events they have coming up! Here is an overview of which organisations were awarded grants and what they are going to be used for:
- 1st Northwich Brownies, applied for the purchase of personalised flags, flag poles, cases and holsters
- Northwich Community First Responders applied for vehicle funding
- Northwich Centurions applied for assistance to help them organise the annual Swimming Gala and the associated costs
- St Helen’s Church Walk Ways applied for funds to cover the cost of graphic design, leaflet production and printing
- St Wilfrid’s Scout Group applied to purchase compasses for the Scouts navigational use
- 146 Squadron (Northwich) Air Cadets were awarded a grant to purchase a flight simulator computer and laptops
- Rudheath/Northwich Sports and Social Club applied for funds to have the mower refurbished with new parts for use on the Bowling Green
- Northwich Literature Festival were awarded funds for Short Story prizes and publicity leaflets for use at their next Festival
