Northwich has seen considerable investment over the last few years and is now seen as a desirable place to live, work and visit. Northwich Town Council provides a range of services including play areas, open spaces and the paddling pool.

The Town Council currently has vacancies for Leisure Attendants within Vickersway Park and Church Walk Paddling Pool kiosks. This is a seasonal position (April— October) with the openings of the kiosks 7 days a week and are weather dependent.

The successful candidates will be part of a small team but the position is mainly lone working, supported by office staff.

Pay is SCP 7 £12.85 per hour.

Job Description Leisure Attendant

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure a good day out for visitors to either Vickersway Park or Church Walk Paddling Pool, maximize shop sales and have pride in the site.

KEY DUTIES

  • Deliver excellent customer service, with a
  • Serving of snacks, drinks, and ice creams
  • Cash handling, till operation and daily balancing of cash for banking
  • Maintain and clean areas to a high standard, including toilets
  • Keeping whole sites clean and free of litter
  • Stock control of all products
  • Promotion of products and services
  • Work as part of a team to ensure shifts are covered at all

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete worksheets for tasks
  • Key holder
  • Cash handling
  • Stock rotation

 

EFFORT DEMANDS

  • Work to an established general routine
  • Some work pressures arise during busy periods

ESSENTIAL

Knowledge and skills required

  • Sound basis education with evidence of basic numeracy and literacy
  • Awareness of Health and Safety legislation related to the post
  • Knowledge of food hygiene
