As Mayor of Northwich for 2026-27, I am proud to have chosen TinySteps as my charity for the Mayor’s Challenge 2026–27. TinySteps is a remarkable local organisation that provides vital support and opportunities for children with additional needs and their families.
The charity is currently raising funds to establish a dedicated sensory centre and social café, creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment where children with additional needs can play, learn and thrive, while parents and carers can connect and find support.
The theme of this year’s challenge is “Steps for TinySteps”, reflecting the belief that every journey begins with a single step and that many small steps can lead to something truly significant.
To launch the campaign this summer, I will be undertaking a personal challenge in the Lake District, climbing three iconic peaks – St Sunday Crag, Haystacks and Helvellyn. This will mark the first step in what I hope will be a successful year of fundraising and awareness for this worthy cause.
