Northwich Town Council and Oakmere Toyota are proud to announce the successful installation of a fully accessible roundabout in the Church Walk play area. This initiative aims to create an inclusive and enjoyable space for individuals of all abilities within the community.
Recognizing the importance of providing accessible play equipment, Northwich Town Council and Oakmere Toyota have joined forces to fund this project. The previous roundabout at the Church Walk play area presented accessibility challenges, preventing some members of the community from fully participating in the joy of outdoor play. With the installation of the new accessible roundabout, Northwich Town Council and Oakmere Toyota have taken a significant step towards creating an inclusive environment for all.
Northwich Town mayor Cllr Jane Thomas expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating, “We are delighted to have worked alongside Oakmere Toyota to bring this fully accessible roundabout to our community. We believe in creating inclusive spaces that enable everyone, regardless of their abilities, to be able to use our facilities. The Church Walk play area now stands as a symbol of our commitment to accessibility, promoting social integration and ensuring equal opportunities for all.”
